18 holes nestled in the rolling hills of Southeastern Ohio provide the challenge. Immaculately manicured fairways, tees and greens provide the beauty. All you have to do is set your tee time and commence on a journey you are sure to enjoy. Marietta Country Club's course offers water shots, elevated greens, sculpted sand traps, a dual cut rough and large landing areas. We have a championship golf course that is unrivaled in the area. We recently installed a computer driven, dual line watering system course wide. Our fairways, tees and greens have long been the envy of the area, now we are launching ourselves further ahead. We have included our score card so you can see what is in store for you. The Course (A sampling) The challenges start from the first tee. Do you swing big and try to fly the creek, or do you play it smart and leave yourself a long second shot into the elevated green? Number 2 is a deceptive par 5. With an accurate long drive, you can position yourself to approach the green for a birdie. One mistake and you are OB to the right or in the badlands to the left. It is smart to play for the par on this hole and save your gambling for the back nine. The third hole is a challenging little par 3, nestled in a corner of the course. The elevated green affects your depth perception, making club selection quite challenging. The par 4 sixth hole provides you the opportunity to air out your drive with a rather large landing area. The medium iron into the elevated green surrounded with sand and grass bunkers always brings out your best. The back side is opened with a strategic par 4. You must position yourself properly to have an approach to the green at the end of an immediate dogleg left. The landing area is deceptively large, with danger to the left. Play it right and you are sitting a mere short iron from the two tier green. If you like par threes, you will love number 17 with its beautiful landscaping. Crossing a scenic pond and possessing a long green, number 17 brings out the best in your short game. Your approach must clear the pond and strategically placed sand and grass bunkers. The green is two-tiered, making the shot a bit more challenging.

| "It is nothing new or original
to say that golf is played one stroke at a time. But it took me
many years to realize it."
