Portfolio: McGrew

On the McGrew job, we encountered multiple difficulties.  We were presented with the task of remodeling the bathroom, which had been in a poor state for several years.  A previous occupant had removed part of a flooring joist to facilitate the drain for a commode.  The resulting drop in the floor generated water damage throughout the entire bathroom floor.

We removed the damaged flooring, repaired the damaged floor joist, installed a new sub floor and linoleum finish.  The plumbing was completely updated and all new fixtures were installed.

Two walls in the living room had been covered with paneling to hide damaged plaster.  We removed the paneling, repaired and plastered the walls.

The attic walls were fiber board, and had massive damage from years of abuse.  The walls were all patched and painted to provide a smooth finish for a guest bedroom for the current occupants.

The cast iron plumbing stack in the basement was replaced with PVC, and rough-ins were installed for a new washer/dryer and the kitchen sink.

The final project on the job was to install two exterior doors, which also required special modifications.
